Christopher Emmanuel "Chris" Paul (born May 6, 1985) is an American professional basketball player of the L . A . Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Standing at 6 ft 0 in (1.83 m) and weighing 175 lb (79 kg), he has began specifically on the position of point guard. Paul has won the NBA Rookie of the Year Award, an Olympic gold medal, and led the National basketball association in assists 3 times and steals six times. He's got recently been selected to seven NBA All-Star teams, six All-NBA teams, and 6 All-Defensive teams.
Paul is a McDonald's All-American in high school. He attended Wake Forest University for two time spent university basketball where he helped the Demon Deacons reach their 1st truly number one ranking. He had been elected 4th all round on the 2005 NBA draft with the New Orleans Hornets and traded with the Clippers in 2011.
On December 8, 2011, the Hornets agreed to a three-team deal sending Paul for the L . A . Lakers. A NBA, who owned the team during the time, nullified the deal, together with commissioner David Stern claiming New Orleans would be better off holding Paul.The clubs taking part on the deal in tried out to lobby the league to change its ruling and reconstruct the deal does not help.On December 12, the Hornets decided to a trade sending Paul for the Los Angeles Clippers, even so the deal broke down following the NBA added additional demands to the authentic conditions. Two days later, the teams at last made the trade, transferring Paul and 2 future 2nd stage draft picks to the Clippers for Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, Al-Farouq Aminu, plus the Minnesota Timberwolves' unprotected first round pick in the 2012 draft. After the deal's conclusion, Paul announced which he would choose into the final year of his contract and stay on La for about two more years.
